The grandeur of African cinema took center stage at the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards, 2024 edition, held amidst glamour and glory at the prestigious Eko Hotel, Lagos. Amongst the glittering contenders, "Breath of Life" emerged as the undisputed champion, securing a dazzling five awards, dominating the major categories with its Prime Video originality.
Though the anticipation favored "Over the Bridge" with an impressive 12 nominations and "Mami Wata" closely following with 11, it was "Breath of Life" that stole the spotlight, clinching victories in pivotal categories like Best Director, Best Movie, and more.
While lead actor Chimezie Imo may not have been among the nominees, his luminous talent shone bright as he grasped the coveted Trailblazer Award, adding another gleaming trophy to the film's triumph.
