Portable Dumps Speed Darlington, Dares Anthony Joshua to N100M Fight: 'I'm Bigger Than Him!'

Portable Challenges Anthony Joshua to N100 Million Fight Amidst Ongoing Feud with Speed Darlington

Nigerian street-hop artist Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly challenged former heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua to a boxing match with a proposed purse of N100 million. This unexpected challenge comes on the heels of Portable's ongoing dispute with fellow musician Darlington Okoye, also known as Speed Darlington.

In a video posted on his Instagram page, Portable dismissed the idea of a bout with Speed Darlington, stating that his colleague was an unworthy opponent. Instead, he expressed a desire to face Anthony Joshua, emphasizing his preference for a more formidable adversary. Portable asserted, "I'm not fighting Speed Darlington again; I want Anthony Joshua with N100m."

This declaration follows a series of public exchanges between Portable and Speed Darlington. The feud escalated when Speed Darlington invited Portable to perform at his upcoming show scheduled for April 13. Portable declined the invitation, citing a performance fee of N20 million, which he claimed Speed Darlington could not afford. He further accused Speed Darlington of attempting to leverage his popularity to promote the event. In his response, Portable stated, "I'm not a tout like you. I'm a hero, a superstar, a celebrity. I perform everywhere, I perform in London, in America."

The animosity between the two artists intensified when Speed Darlington alleged that Portable insulted his mother following the declined invitation. Speed Darlington expressed his dismay in a video, highlighting the personal nature of the insult and its impact on their professional relationship.

In a separate incident, Speed Darlington criticized Portable's financial decisions, particularly concerning the purchase of a luxury vehicle. He mocked Portable's alleged inability to pay for a Mercedes-Benz GLE, leading to a public altercation where Portable was seen jumping over a gate to evade law enforcement. Speed Darlington commented, "Portable don cast o! Yoruba superstar no get money for Benz."

Portable, in turn, has asserted his dominance in the music industry, claiming that his music is now tailored for affluent audiences. He stated, "My song na for rich people, I no wan poor again."

As of now, Anthony Joshua has not responded to Portable's challenge. The proposition has generated significant buzz on social media, with fans and industry observers speculating about the feasibility of such a match. While the likelihood of a boxing bout between Portable and Anthony Joshua remains uncertain, the challenge underscores Portable's flair for dramatic publicity and his ongoing quest for prominence both within and beyond the music industry.
