As Nigeria joins the rest of the world in commemorating this year’s Children’s Day celebration, House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, Hon. Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo (OJO), has extended a heartfelt message to children, parents, guardians, teachers, and stakeholders, describing children as the true architects of the nation’s future and the greatest investment any society can make.

In a specially curated Children’s Day message released on Tuesday, Hon. OJO emphasized the urgent need for purposeful leadership, quality education, moral upbringing, youth development, and sustainable policies that will secure a brighter future for the younger generation across Ibadan, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.

According to the frontline aspirant, Children’s Day is not just a moment of celebration, but a strong reminder of the collective responsibility placed on leaders, families, and society to protect, nurture, and empower every child regardless of background, religion, tribe, or social status.

Speaking passionately about the future of the constituency, Hon. Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo noted that children remain the heartbeat of every progressive nation and deserve access to quality education, healthcare, security, mentorship, innovation, and opportunities capable of unlocking their full potential.

> “Today, we celebrate the innocence, intelligence, creativity, and limitless potential of our children — the future leaders, innovators, professionals, entrepreneurs, and nation-builders who will shape tomorrow’s Nigeria.

> Every child deserves a safe environment, sound education, proper moral guidance, and equal opportunities to dream, grow, and succeed. As leaders and stakeholders, we must continue to invest in policies and initiatives that prioritize the welfare and development of our children.”

The aspirant further stressed that responsible parenting and value-driven leadership remain critical pillars in raising a disciplined and productive generation capable of transforming society positively.

He commended parents, guardians, teachers, and caregivers for their sacrifices and commitment toward raising responsible children despite the economic and social challenges facing the country.

Hon. OJO also used the opportunity to advocate for increased government attention toward educational infrastructure, child protection policies, vocational empowerment, digital innovation, and community-based programs that can better prepare children and youths for the future.

The Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency hopeful reaffirmed his commitment to people-centered representation, inclusive governance, youth empowerment, educational advancement, and sustainable community development if given the mandate to serve at the Green Chamber.

He maintained that leadership must go beyond politics and focus on building a society where children can thrive without fear, poverty, neglect, or hopelessness.

> “The future of Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency must be built on the dreams and aspirations of our young people. We must create opportunities that inspire hope, encourage excellence, and prepare our children for global competitiveness.

> To every child out there, never stop believing in yourself. Keep learning, keep growing, and continue to dream big. Your future is bright, and your generation will play a major role in shaping a better Nigeria.”

As part of his Children’s Day message, Hon. Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo called on political leaders, community stakeholders, religious institutions, and private organizations to work together in creating a more child-friendly and youth-driven society where every child can maximize their God-given potential.

The message has continued to generate positive reactions among supporters and residents across Ibadan, with many describing it as a reflection of visionary leadership, compassion, and genuine concern for the future generation.
