Areoye, in a congratulatory message on Monday,said the governor’s victory was also a reflection of God’s grace and the confidence reposed in his administration by Osun voters.
The lawmaker expressed excitement over Adeleke’s victory, saying the governor deserved a second term based on what he described as the administration’s remarkable achievements and growing public acceptance.
“I am super excited and elated that Governor Ademola Adeleke was declared the winner of the Osun State governorship election for another four years. May Almighty God bestow upon the Governor sound health, wisdom and knowledge to pilot the affairs of our dear state,” Areoye stated.
He also commended voters in Atakunmosa East and West Constituency for turning out to exercise their civic responsibility despite what he described as intimidation and alleged harassment during the election.
According to him, the voters demonstrated courage by coming out in large numbers to cast their ballots and support the governor.
Areoye therefore congratulated Governor Adeleke on his re-election, while wishing him a successful and productive second term in office.
He urged the governor to see the renewed mandate as an opportunity to consolidate on his administration’s achievements and continue working for the development of Osun State.
