Ogundele Sodiq Gbolahan is a music performing artiste known as Rudder. His music takes from the afrocentric, afropop, hiphop and traditional african genre. Rudder hails from Ibadan and his growing up as a child shaped his music content and his brand as a versatile music artiste. "Our general review of his recordings shows that Rudder cannot be caged to a spot musically". Rudder got his name when he was drowning and facing life dippression regarding how to get to a level in his life and musical career.
Thankfully, Rudder got a direction with a lift by MBI Entertainment which is a fledgling record label. His record label has set out to put his name on the list of established performing artistes in Nigeria and worldwide. With lots of work for weeks in the studio, Rudder is set to release his first work of art-Fate & Fame EP which is scheduled to be released on all streaming platforms 7th October 2021. Songs taken from the Fate & Fame EP includes "Eyes on me" which is currently recieving massive airplay on radio in Ibadan. The music video of "Eyes on me" was shot in the ancient city of Ibadan recently and it will also be on the cue of MBI's promotional kits for the Fate & Fame EP.
MBI Entertainment will officially launch the Rudder's EP on the 7th October 2021 by 5pm in a live performance session and listening party at Race Course, Adamasingba Stadium, Ibadan. Fabulous Pizzy and Oyinkanade will be performing at event which will be hosted by Shete the comedian. Fate & Fame EP is a launching pad to project Rudder through lots of touring and promotional activities in the mainstream of entertainment in Nigeria. Lagos media tours and leveraging will start as soon as Rudder gets the air in his city.
