Nationwide Rollout of CNG Vehicles Underway: 530 Buses Set for Deployment in Six States

The nationwide deployment of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles has kicked off, with plans to roll out 530 buses by the end of the month across six pioneering states. These states include Oyo, Lagos, Kwara, Kogi, Kaduna, Nasarawa, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja. Michael Oluwagbemi, the Programme Director of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGI), revealed this during an event marking the commencement of a 15-day-long preparation period leading up to the rollout. Oluwagbemi emphasized that the distribution is based on demand, and efforts are underway to accelerate the conversion of diesel and petrol-fueled engines nationwide.
