Auxiliary goes back to Agodi Prison

In a stunning turn of events, Mukaila Lamidi, famously known as "Auxiliary," once again finds himself behind bars at the notorious Agodi Correctional Centre. This time, it's over alleged murder charges that have sent shockwaves through Ibadan. The Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court, shrouded in tension, witnessed the solemn moment as the former Chairman of the Park Management System (PMS) in Oyo State was remanded into custody. Chief Magistrate Olabisi Ogunkanmi's voice echoed through the hushed courtroom as she decreed the remand, citing a lack of jurisdiction, leaving many wondering what lies ahead for the once-powerful figure. As Mukaila Lamidi, aged 63, stood before the court, his fate hung in the balance. Represented by Mr. Tope Olayinka, he faced a litany of charges, including conspiracy, causing death, and stealing. The allegations, as described by CSP Funke Fawole of the Oyo State Police Command, paint a grim picture of events that unfolded on that fateful day. "On June 16, 2021, at about 3:30 p.m.," Fawole recounted with chilling precision, "Lamidi and his accomplices allegedly ended the life of one Azeez Rahman Abiodun, 36, plunging a knife into his chest, sending shockwaves through the community." But the horror didn't end there. The accused and his cohorts, according to Fawole, then brazenly stole phones valued at a staggering N150 million from Azeez Hammed Adebayo, further compounding the tragedy that unfolded at the Baba-Onilu Shopping Complex in the heart of Ibadan. The gravity of the charges sent ripples of disbelief throughout the city, as residents grappled with the stark reality of the allegations against a once-feared figure. With the next court date set for July 11, the specter of justice looms large over Mukaila Lamidi, leaving many to ponder whether this is truly the end of an era or merely the beginning of a new chapter in the saga of "Auxiliary."
