American R&B singer Chris Brown has been arrested and charged in the United Kingdom for an alleged assault that took place at a London nightclub in February 2023. The incident reportedly involved Brown attacking music producer Abraham Diaw with a bottle at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, London.
According to court proceedings, Brown allegedly struck Diaw multiple times with a Don Julio 1942 tequila bottle, then proceeded to punch and kick him, resulting in serious injuries. The altercation was captured on the club's CCTV system.
Brown was apprehended by Manchester police on May 15, 2025, at a hotel in Manchester and appeared before Manchester Magistrates' Court on May 16. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Southwark Crown Court on June 13
