Ibadan, Nigeria — The highly anticipated *Ibukun Sanu and Friends Campus Tour* returns in 2025, bringing with it the second season of the *University Gospel Talent Hunt*. This initiative, birthed from a deep sense of purpose, continues its mission to inspire, uplift, and spotlight the next generation of gospel talents across Nigerian universities.
Ibukun Sanu, a renowned gospel artist and native of Ibadan, Oyo State, began his musical journey at the University of Ibadan. Though he briefly ventured into mainstream music, he ultimately returned to his gospel roots—a decision that redefined his mission. In 2023, driven by divine conviction, Ibukun launched a national campus tour aimed at spreading hope, light, and purpose through gospel music and mentorship.
The tour blends powerful expressions of faith through music, dance, spoken word, preaching, and a structured mentorship program tailored for young, talented students in the gospel music space. A key highlight of the tour is the *Gospel Talent Hunt*, which provides a platform for students to showcase their God-given abilities in a spiritually charged atmosphere.
To date, the tour has reached eight prominent universities across Nigeria, including:
* University of Ibadan (UI)
* Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU)
* University of Lagos (UNILAG)
* Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA)
* University of Ilorin (UNILORIN)
* Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH)
* Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE)
* Lead City University
Following a successful Season 2 event at Obafemi Awolowo University earlier this year, the tour now returns to where it all began—University of Ibadan—for another unforgettable edition of the *Unibadan Gospel Talent Hunt Season 2*.
What sets this initiative apart is its accessibility: participation and attendance are completely free. The tour is funded solely through the support of friends, partners, and generous donors who share the vision of raising a spiritually grounded and artistically empowered generation.
When asked about the heart behind the project, Ibukun Sanu shared:
*“It has always been a burden on my heart to help young people discover and develop their talents for the glory of God. This tour is more than just a series of events—it’s a movement of hope, mentorship, and purpose.”*
