In a sharp rebuke to Washington, China has accused the United States of damaging its own global credibility by launching a military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, even as diplomatic engagements were ongoing between both countries. The statement was issued through the Chinese Foreign Ministry, which criticized the U.S. action as reckless and destabilizing to Middle East peace efforts.

Speaking at a press briefing in Beijing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated:
