Hon. Oluwafemi Abolade Gabriel (Yerima), a respected grassroots mobilizer and a rising political voice in Ona Ara Local Government, has joined millions of admirers across Oyo State and beyond to celebrate the 58th birthday of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, describing him as a trailblazer, people-first leader, and a symbol of progressive governance.
In a congratulatory message made available to the public, Yerima extolled Governor Makinde’s leadership qualities, noting that his administration has consistently reflected courage, vision, and an uncommon passion for inclusive development.
According to Hon. Yerima, Governor Makinde has redefined leadership in Oyo State by proving that governance can be humane, transparent, and impactful when driven by sincerity and the genuine desire to uplift the people.
> “Your Excellency’s leadership has shown that public office is not about power, but about service. You have remained steadfast in placing the welfare of the people above politics, and that is the hallmark of a true trailblazer,” Yerima stated.
He further emphasized that Governor Makinde’s governance philosophy—anchored on infrastructure renewal, youth inclusion, security reforms, and grassroots development—has strengthened public trust in government and rekindled hope among ordinary citizens across the state.
Hon. Yerima also commended the Governor for deepening democratic values through his support for local governance and community-driven development, a move he said has allowed local leaders and emerging political actors to contribute meaningfully to the growth of their constituencies.
“By empowering local governments and encouraging innovation at the grassroots, Governor Makinde has laid a strong foundation for future leaders who are committed to people-oriented governance,” he added.
As a firm believer in progressive leadership and community development, Hon. Yerima noted that the Governor’s achievements continue to serve as inspiration for young and upcoming leaders who are determined to serve with integrity, empathy, and purpose.
He concluded by offering heartfelt prayers for the celebrant, asking God Almighty to grant Engr. Seyi Makinde long life, sound health, renewed strength, and divine wisdom as he continues to steer Oyo State on the path of sustainable development and shared prosperity.
> “May your remaining years in service be filled with greater accomplishments and enduring legacies that generations yet unborn will celebrate,” Yerima prayed.
