More than just a festival, Adire Osun 2025 is a bold cultural statement — a living, breathing celebration of identity, creativity, commerce and community, wrapped in the timeless beauty of Adire.
Anchored on the powerful theme “Our Adire, Our Celebration, Our Pride,” the festival draws inspiration from globally celebrated cultural carnivals such as the Rio Carnival, Notting Hill Carnival, and major African textile festivals, while proudly projecting Osun’s indigenous heritage onto a global stage.
EXPORT SUMMIT: TAKING ADIRE TO THE WORLD
The festival officially kicks off on Friday, December 19, 2025, with the Adire Osun Export Summit at the Oasis Events Center, starting by 12 noon. This summit positions Adire not just as culture, but as serious business. Fashion entrepreneurs, exporters, creatives, policymakers and industry stakeholders will converge to discuss innovation, global market access, sustainability and the future of indigenous textile exports. It marks Osun State’s deliberate push to transform Adire into a global economic force.
THE ADIRE OSUN STREET CARNIVAL: WHEN THE CITY COMES ALIVE
On Saturday, December 20, 2025, Osogbo transforms into a living runway as the Adire Osun Street Carnival takes over the metropolis from 10:00am.
The iconic carnival procession starts from Jaleyemi, surging forward with vibrant energy through Old Garage (Main Stage VIP), moving to Ajegunle, flowing into Igbono, onward to Ayetoro, then into the Stadium, before returning from the Stadium back to Old Garage, passing through Imole Day Flyover, and finally climaxing at Freedom Park.
This is not a quiet parade — it is a full-blown cultural frenzy. The streets erupt with horns, vuvuzelas, chants, drums, dance troupes, fashion showcases, community groups, and branded Adire expressions, creating a spectacle of colour and sound that pulls everyone into the celebration. This is Osogbo on full display — bold, loud, proud, and unapologetically cultural.
ITALAWA CONCERT: THE NIGHT OSUN SHUTS DOWN
As night falls, the energy only intensifies. By 9:00pm, Freedom Park becomes the epicenter of sound and stardom as the ITALAWA CONCERT kicks off — a high-powered musical showdown that blends Fuji, Afro-street, and indigenous rhythms into one unforgettable experience.
