OFFICIAL DISCLAIMER ON THE ALLEGED APC PRIMARY ELECTION IN OLORUNSOGO LOCAL GOVERNMENT

This is to officially notify the general public, party faithful, stakeholders, and all teeming members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that the widely circulated claims by one of the aspirants to the Federal House of Representatives alleging that a primary election was conducted in Olorunsogo Local Government are entirely false, deceptive, unauthorized, and politically mischievous.

For the avoidance of doubt, NO APC PRIMARY ELECTION WAS HELD IN OLORUNSOGO LOCAL GOVERNMENT. No aspirant has been validly endorsed, affirmed, ratified, or declared winner by the Party. At no time did the Party issue any directive, approval, or authorization for such purported exercise.

Any individual or group parading themselves as winners of a non-existent primary should immediately desist from misleading the public, as such actions amount to political misrepresentation capable of causing unnecessary tension and confusion within the party structure.

This disclaimer is contained in a communiqué issued by Alhaji Rasaq Raji after an emergency stakeholders’ meeting held with respected Party Leaders and Elders at his residence, where the purported exercise was unanimously rejected, condemned, and described as a violation of established party procedures and democratic norms.

Alhaji Rasaq Raji reiterated that legitimate APC primaries can only be conducted in strict compliance with the constitution, guidelines, and electoral procedures of the All Progressives Congress and under the lawful supervision and recognition of the appropriate party authorities and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He stressed that any gathering, announcement, endorsement, or declaration carried out outside these constitutional procedures remains illegal, null, void, and of no political or legal consequence whatsoever.

He therefore urged all loyal APC members across Olorunsogo Local Government and beyond to remain calm, law-abiding, vigilant, and united, while disregarding any sponsored propaganda, fake declarations, or desperate attempts aimed at heating up the polity and destabilizing the unity of the Party.

The APC remains one indivisible family committed to due process, internal democracy, and the rule of law. All legitimate party activities shall be conducted transparently and at the appropriate time in accordance with party regulations.
