As the world celebrates Mother’s Day 2026 today, Sunday, May 10, frontline House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, , has extended heartfelt greetings and appreciation to mothers, widows, grandmothers, caregivers, and women across the constituency and beyond.
In a specially curated Mother’s Day message, Hon. OJO described mothers as the “pillar of every thriving home, the moral compass of society, and the unseen strength behind every successful generation.”
According to him, the sacrifices, resilience, prayers, and unconditional love of mothers remain the backbone of community development and nation-building.
“Today, I celebrate every mother across Ibadan North-West and Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, Oyo State, Nigeria, and across the world. Your sacrifices, strength, endurance, and unwavering commitment to family and society deserve more than a single day of recognition,” he stated.
Hon. OJO further noted that beyond politics and leadership, mothers play strategic roles in shaping the future through moral upbringing, economic support for families, community leadership, and mentoring younger generations.
“At every stage of life, mothers remain the first teachers, the first caregivers, and the first defenders of our dreams. Behind every successful child, leader, entrepreneur, and professional is the silent labor and countless prayers of a mother.”
The aspiring federal lawmaker used the opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to policies and representation that would prioritize women empowerment, youth development, family welfare, education, healthcare accessibility, economic opportunities for widows and single mothers, and grassroots inclusion.
“As we continue this journey toward a better and more prosperous Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, I remain committed to championing people-centered legislation and community-driven initiatives that will uplift women, empower families, and secure a brighter future for our people,” he added.
Hon. Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo (OJO), widely regarded by many political observers and grassroots stakeholders as one of the emerging voices of the next generation of leadership in the constituency, also urged residents to go beyond social media celebrations by showing genuine love and appreciation to their mothers and maternal figures.
