OJO Salutes Tinubu at Three, Says Nigeria Is Gradually Reclaiming Hope and Economic Stability

As President Bola Ahmed Tinubu marks his third year in office, frontline House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, Hon. Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo (popularly known as OJO), has congratulated the President for what he described as “bold reforms gradually reshaping Nigeria’s economy and laying the foundation for a stronger future.”

In a personally signed anniversary message made available to the public on Thursday, OJO praised the Tinubu administration for taking difficult but necessary economic decisions aimed at rescuing Nigeria from fiscal collapse and restoring investor confidence.

According to the young political figure, leadership is often tested during periods of hardship, and President Tinubu’s administration chose “courage over convenience” at a time the country faced mounting economic and structural crises.

“Three years ago, Nigeria stood at a dangerous crossroads economically and institutionally. The decisions taken by this administration may have come with sacrifice, but they were clearly aimed at preventing a deeper national disaster,” OJO stated.

The aspiring federal lawmaker hopeful acknowledged that many Nigerians are still grappling with the realities of inflation, rising living costs, and economic pressure, but insisted that visible signs of recovery are beginning to emerge across major sectors of the economy.

He pointed to improvements in infrastructure development, renewed investor confidence, reforms in the oil and gas sector, expansion of rail and road projects, and increased state revenues as indicators that Nigeria is gradually repositioning itself for long-term growth.

“Today, we are beginning to witness a more competitive economy, stronger public finances, growing investment confidence, and renewed infrastructure expansion across the country. These are signs that the sacrifices made by Nigerians are not in vain,” he added.

OJO specifically applauded ongoing federal projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Road reconstruction, rail modernization efforts, and housing initiatives under the Renewed Hope agenda, describing them as strategic investments capable of transforming national productivity and job creation.

The Ibadan-born politician also commended the Federal Government’s intervention in education through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, saying millions of young Nigerians now have renewed access to higher education opportunities.

Speaking on youth development, OJO stressed that Nigeria’s future depends heavily on empowering young people through technology, entrepreneurship, innovation, agriculture, and digital education.

“Our young people must remain hopeful. They are not liabilities but the engine room of Nigeria’s future prosperity. Government at every level must continue to create pathways for youth inclusion, innovation, enterprise growth, and leadership opportunities,” he said.

On security, the aspirant acknowledged the persistent challenges facing parts of the country but commended the efforts of security agencies and the Federal Government in intensifying operations against banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, and oil theft.

He called on Nigerians to remain united and avoid divisive politics capable of slowing national development.

“Nation-building requires patience, sacrifice, and collective purpose. Nigeria belongs to all of us regardless of tribe, religion, or political affiliation. We can only move forward when unity becomes greater than division,” OJO noted.

While congratulating President Tinubu on the administration’s third anniversary, Hon. Ogunbayo urged political leaders across the country to prioritize people-focused governance and policies capable of directly impacting ordinary citizens.

The House of Representatives aspirant further assured residents of Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency that his political ambition remains centered on effective representation, youth empowerment, grassroots development, education, economic opportunities, and inclusive leadership.

“As someone who understands the realities facing our people daily, my commitment is to become a strong voice for the constituency and contribute meaningfully to policies that improve lives, empower communities, and secure a better future for coming generations,” he said.

OJO concluded by expressing optimism that Nigeria would emerge stronger despite present economic and social challenges.

“History shows that great nations are built through resilience and sacrifice. Nigeria still possesses enormous potential, and with visionary leadership, discipline, and collective commitment, our best days are still ahead,” he concluded.
