“Nigeria Will Rise Again” — Hon. Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo (OJO) Sends Powerful Message of Hope and Resilience to Nigerians

As Nigeria reflects on its democratic journey and the sacrifices that shaped the nation’s freedom, Hon. Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo (OJO), a leading aspirant for the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, has called on Nigerians not to lose hope in the country despite present challenges.

In a heartfelt national reflection, OJO reminded citizens that history has repeatedly shown that perseverance, unity, and courage always triumph over adversity.

“We will overcome as a nation,” he declared.

Drawing inspiration from global history, Hon. Ogunbayo noted that May 29 is remembered worldwide for one of humanity’s greatest achievements — the historic first successful ascent of Mount Everest in 1953. According to him, the feat remains a symbol of resilience, determination, and the power of believing in the impossible.

“Just as mankind conquered Mount Everest after countless struggles and failed attempts, Nigeria too will overcome its economic, political, and security challenges. Our best days are still ahead of us,” OJO stated.

The Ibadan-born political figure also reflected on the significance of May 29 in Nigeria’s political evolution. Before Democracy Day was officially moved to June 12, May 29 stood as a defining symbol of Nigeria’s return to civilian rule after years of military dictatorship.

He recalled how, on May 29, 1999, former President Olusegun Obasanjo was sworn into office, ushering Nigeria into the Fourth Republic and restoring democratic governance to Africa’s most populous nation.

According to OJO, nation-building remains a continuous journey that demands visionary leadership, accountability, youth inclusion, and people-centered representation.

“As citizens, we must continue to protect our democratic values, speak for the people, and build a society where every child can dream and every hardworking citizen can succeed,” he added.

Widely regarded as one of the emerging voices of the younger generation in Oyo State politics, Hon. Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo (OJO) has continued to gain attention across Ibadan North-West and Ibadan South-West for his growing grassroots connection, youth-focused engagement, and commitment to progressive representation.

Supporters describe him as a bridge between experience and the aspirations of a new generation seeking practical leadership, development, empowerment, and genuine community representation at the National Assembly.

As conversations ahead of the next electoral cycle continue to build, many political observers believe OJO’s increasing visibility and strategic grassroots appeal position him as one of the notable names to watch in the race for the Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency seat.

Ending his message, OJO urged Nigerians, especially the youth, to remain hopeful, patriotic, and actively involved in shaping the future of the nation.

“Great nations are not built in one day. They are built by people who refuse to give up on their dreams, their communities, and their country. Nigeria will rise again,” he concluded.
