PUBLIC SERVICE: THE BEDROCK OF GOOD GOVERNANCE AND NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT — OJO SALUTES DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVANTS ON UN PUBLIC SERVICE DAY

As the world commemorates United Nations Public Service Day, Hon. Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo (OJO), aspirant for the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, has paid glowing tribute to public servants whose commitment, professionalism, and sacrifice continue to drive governance and national development.

According to OJO, public service remains one of the most critical pillars of a thriving society, serving as the bridge between government policies and the people they are designed to benefit. He noted that behind every functioning institution, successful public policy, educational advancement, healthcare improvement, infrastructural development, and community growth are dedicated public servants working tirelessly to deliver results.

"Today, we celebrate the men and women who have devoted their careers to serving humanity through public institutions. Their contributions often go unnoticed, yet they remain indispensable to the progress of our communities, our state, and our nation," he stated.

The aspiring federal lawmaker emphasized that the future of Nigeria depends largely on strengthening public institutions, promoting accountability, rewarding excellence, and creating an enabling environment for public servants to perform effectively.

OJO further stressed that effective public service is the foundation upon which sustainable development, economic growth, social justice, and democratic governance are built. He called on leaders at all levels to prioritize reforms that improve service delivery and restore public confidence in government institutions.

He also used the occasion to acknowledge the countless public servants across Oyo State and Nigeria who continue to serve diligently despite numerous challenges, describing them as unsung heroes of nation-building.

"As we celebrate this important day, let us recommit ourselves to the values of integrity, transparency, accountability, patriotism, and selfless service. A stronger Nigeria can only emerge when public service becomes a true instrument of positive change and national transformation," OJO added.

The House of Representatives aspirant reaffirmed his commitment to championing policies that promote efficient governance, youth empowerment, human capital development, community advancement, and inclusive representation for the people of Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency.

International Widows Day

OJO also extended warm greetings to widows across the constituency and beyond as the world marks International Widows Day, recognizing their resilience, strength, and invaluable contributions to families and society. He called for greater social protection, economic empowerment, and support systems that will enhance the wellbeing and dignity of widows.
