The South-West leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reaffirmed its unwavering support for the party's governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator (Dr.) Sharafadeen Alli, while calling for greater unity among party stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The declaration was made during a solidarity and courtesy visit to Senator Alli in Ibadan on Friday, where members of the APC South-West Zonal Executive Committee pledged their full commitment to delivering victory for the party in Oyo State.
Leading the delegation, the Acting South-West Zonal Chairman of the APC, Mr. Lateef Ibirogba, described Senator Alli as a credible, experienced, and widely accepted political leader with the vision, competence, and leadership qualities required to reposition Oyo State for sustainable development.
According to Ibirogba, the South-West leadership has absolute confidence in Alli's capacity to lead the party to victory and subsequently provide purposeful governance capable of accelerating economic growth, improving infrastructure, and promoting inclusive development across the state.
He emphasized that the APC's regional leadership would continue working closely with party leaders, grassroots members, stakeholders, and support groups across Oyo State to strengthen the party's structures and ensure electoral success in 2027.
Ibirogba noted that unity remains the most critical ingredient for the APC's return to power in Oyo State, urging party leaders, members, and aspirants to set aside personal interests in favour of the collective objective of reclaiming the state.
He revealed that the zonal leadership had also embarked on consultations with other APC governorship aspirants in Oyo State, appealing to them to embrace reconciliation, close ranks, and work together for the overall success of the party.

"Our mission is to promote reconciliation, encourage cooperation among party faithful, and mobilise support for our governorship candidate so that the APC can return to Government House in Oyo State. We believe that only a united party can achieve this important objective."
