“Eid-el-Mawlid Calls for Reflection, Love, Unity and Prayers for Our Nation” — Akinyele Council Boss, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye Celebrates Muslim Faithfuls

The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye, has extended warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to Muslim faithfuls in Akinyele Local Government, Oyo State and beyond as they commemorate Eid-el-Mawlid, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

In a goodwill message made available to the public through his Chief Media Aide, Ogundipe Miracle, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye urged Muslims to use the occasion as an opportunity to reflect deeply on the life, teachings and exemplary character of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), particularly his virtues of compassion, humility, patience, forgiveness, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

According to him, the significance of Eid-el-Mawlid extends beyond celebration, as it offers an important reminder of the values that promote peaceful and harmonious communities. He encouraged Muslims and indeed all Nigerians to strengthen the bonds of unity, brotherhood and mutual respect while putting aside differences that may hinder collective progress.

“On this auspicious occasion of Eid-el-Mawlid, I warmly felicitate with our Muslim brothers and sisters as we commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). This sacred occasion provides us with a valuable opportunity to reflect on the remarkable life and enduring teachings of the Prophet, whose virtues of compassion, humility, patience and service to humanity remain worthy of emulation.

“Eid-el-Mawlid reminds us of the importance of love, unity, peaceful coexistence and brotherhood. At a time when our society requires greater understanding and togetherness, I urge us to embrace one another, respect our differences and promote peace in all our interactions. The strength of our community and nation lies in our ability to live together in harmony and work collectively for the common good.

“The life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) also remind us of our responsibilities to our families, neighbours, communities and society at large. We must strive to demonstrate kindness, generosity, forgiveness and compassion, particularly towards those who are vulnerable and in need. By living out these values, we preserve the legacy of the Prophet and contribute meaningfully to the development of our communities.

“As we celebrate this important occasion, I equally call on all Muslim faithfuls to remember our dear nation in their prayers. Nigeria is a nation with enormous potential, and at this critical period, we need divine guidance, wisdom, peace and unity. Let us continue to pray for our leaders at all levels and for peace, security, prosperity and sustainable development across the country.

“I also encourage us to remember the less privileged around us. The true essence of celebration is better appreciated when our blessings are shared with others. Let us extend helping hands to the needy, show compassion to the vulnerable and contribute positively to the welfare of those around us.

“On behalf of my family, the government and good people of Akinyele Local Government, I wish all Muslim faithfuls a peaceful, joyful and spiritually rewarding Eid-el-Mawlid celebration. May this sacred occasion bring abundant blessings, peace and prosperity to our families and communities, and may our prayers continue to usher in a brighter and more united Nigeria.

“Happy Eid-el-Mawlid to all Muslim faithfuls. May Allah continue to bless and guide us all.”
