Nigerian international striker Victor Osimhen has publicly reaffirmed his dedication to Galatasaray, amidst swirling transfer speculations linking him to Italian giants Juventus. The 26-year-old, currently on loan from Napoli, has been instrumental in Galatasaray's successful campaign, netting 28 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions this season.
Osimhen's exceptional form has inevitably attracted interest from top European clubs, with Juventus reportedly keen on securing his services. However, Osimhen has expressed his contentment with life in Istanbul, stating, "Galatasaray is an amazing club, one of the biggest teams in the world and of course the best in Turkey. Life is good in Turkey... I feel privileged to be here" .
Galatasaray's vice-president, İbrahim Hatipoğlu, has also dismissed rumors of a mid-season departure, asserting that Osimhen will remain with the club until the end of his loan spell. "There is no chance that Osimhen will leave the team in January," Hatipoğlu stated, emphasizing the club's intention to retain the striker beyond the current season.
While Osimhen's loan agreement with Galatasaray does not include an option for a permanent transfer, his parent club Napoli has reportedly reduced his release clause to €75 million, potentially facilitating a move in the upcoming transfer window. Despite this, Osimhen's recent comments suggest a strong affinity for Galatasaray, casting doubt on immediate transfer prospects.
As the summer transfer window approaches, Osimhen's future remains a topic of keen interest. However, his current focus appears firmly set on contributing to Galatasaray's continued success in the Turkish Süper Lig.
