As the joy and warmth of the Christmas season fill homes across Ona Ara Local Government, Hon. Oluwafemi Abolade Gabriel (popularly known as Yerima) has extended a heartfelt Christmas goodwill message to the people, calling for unity, love, and renewed hope as the year draws to a close.
In his Yuletide message, Hon. Yerima described Christmas as more than a celebration, but a sacred season that reminds humanity of sacrifice, compassion, humility, and shared responsibility. He urged residents of Ona Ara to reflect deeply on the values exemplified by the birth of Jesus Christ, emphasizing that peace, selflessness, and genuine concern for one another remain the foundation of any progressive society.
According to him, the strength of Ona Ara lies in its people, their resilience, and their ability to stand together despite economic and social challenges. He noted that true development begins when communities are united by purpose and guided by empathy, stressing that leadership must always be anchored on service, sincerity, and accountability.
Hon. Yerima also used the occasion to call for prayers for Oyo State and Nigeria at large, urging citizens to remain hopeful and prayerful as the nation continues to navigate critical economic, security, and governance issues. He expressed confidence that with faith in God, collective action, and responsible leadership, a brighter and more inclusive future is achievable.
Reaffirming his long-standing commitment to grassroots development, Hon. Yerima assured the people that his passion for public service remains driven by the desire to amplify the voices of the people, empower the youth, and promote people-oriented representation that truly reflects the aspirations of Ona Ara Local Government.
He appreciated residents for their continued support, encouragement, and trust, noting that such goodwill fuels his resolve to serve with integrity and purpose.
Hon. Oluwafemi Abolade Gabriel (Yerima) concluded by wishing the good people of Ona Ara a peaceful, joyous Christmas celebration and a prosperous New Year in advance, praying that the season brings good health, renewed strength, and abundant blessings to every household.
“May this Christmas renew our hope, strengthen our unity, and prepare us for a future of progress and purposeful leadership,” he said.
