Ibadan witnessed the birth of a new cultural movement as Egbe Amuludun Ile’badan made a grand and colorful debut at the just concluded 2026 Ibadan Cultural Festival, marking the beginning of what promises to be an inspiring chapter in the promotion of Ibadan heritage.
The sociocultural group, made up of vibrant young professionals who are proud sons and daughters of Ibadan, was established to create a platform for younger generations to actively participate in the cultural life of Ibadanland and the wider Yoruba nation. With a vision rooted in unity, pride, and progress, Egbe Amuludun Ile’badan seeks to bridge tradition with modern relevance.
Blending social enjoyment with a serious passion for cultural preservation and community development, the group arrived in style at the festival, with members elegantly dressed in beautiful emerald green attire, drawing admiration from attendees as they proudly paid homage to the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Their presence added fresh energy and youthful elegance to the festival, symbolizing hope for the continued growth and relevance of Ibadan’s rich traditions among younger generations.
Egbe Amuludun Ile’badan hereby extends heartfelt congratulations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, Aruna I, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, on the resounding success of this year’s cultural celebration.
