In a statement made available to the public through his Chief Media Aide, Ogundipe Miracle, the Council Chairman called on residents to embrace the lessons of Hijrah and rededicate themselves to the values of faith, unity, peace, and selfless service.
In his Words He Said,
"Dear esteemed residents of Akinyele Local Government and the Muslim Ummah,
I am delighted to congratulate you all as we welcome the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1448AH. This sacred occasion offers us another opportunity to reflect on the remarkable migration of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), a journey that symbolizes sacrifice, resilience, faith, and unwavering commitment to the will of Almighty Allah.
As we commence this new Islamic year, let us draw inspiration from the profound lessons of Hijrah by renewing our commitment to righteousness, peaceful coexistence, and community development. This is a time for spiritual reflection, personal growth, and collective responsibility towards building a stronger and more united society.
I urge all residents to continue promoting harmony, mutual respect, and understanding among ourselves regardless of our differences. The strength of every community lies in its unity, and together we can foster an environment where peace, progress, and prosperity thrive for the benefit of all.
I also encourage everyone to remember the less privileged in our midst. Let us extend hands of fellowship, kindness, and generosity to those in need. Through acts of charity and compassion, we can bring hope to the vulnerable and make our communities more inclusive and caring.
To our youths, I charge you to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to positive values. The lessons of Hijrah teach perseverance, courage, and determination in the face of challenges. As future leaders, you must embrace these virtues and contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of our society.
As we celebrate Hijrah 1448AH, I pray that Almighty Allah blesses every home with peace, good health, abundant blessings, and divine guidance. May this new Islamic year usher in greater opportunities, remarkable achievements, and lasting happiness for all our people.
