The assurance came during the Renewed Hope Food Outreach Scheme to Group Vulnerables initiative held at the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission Building, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan today.
Mrs Tinubu who stressed the negative impacts of Tuberculosis on Nigerian youths and women, said her leadership has made plans to set up environmental clubs among secondary school students and as well make funds available for the tackling of the disease to the minimum level across the country.
Similarly, the wife of the Vice-President of Nigeria, Hajia Nana Shettima added that the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, by flagging off food item distribution to group vulnerable in Oyo State, makes it extended to ten states, including Benue, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Ekiti, Gombe, Nasarawa, Kogi, Abia and the Federal Capital Territory.
Shettima added that the food items received from anonymous donor are targetted at the vulnerable- youths and women, while 250 disabilities across each of the 36 states will be empowered for recapitalization of their respective funds and as well 10,000 packs of menstrual pads for selected girl children for better lifelihood.
The event which was attended the governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, his wife, deputy governor and wife, Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani and government functionaries, respected traditional leaders including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Hakeem Abimbola Owoade, Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, represented by Oba Kola-Daisi, featured the commissioning of Onikepo Akande National ICT Centre at Oladipo Alayande School of Science, Oke Bola.
