Fuji Music Feud: Saheed Osupa Responds to Taye Currency and Portable's Remarks

The Nigerian Fuji music scene has recently been stirred by a series of contentious interactions involving prominent artists Saheed Osupa, Taye Currency, and hip-hop singer Portable. These developments have captivated fans and sparked widespread discussions within the entertainment industry.

Taye Currency's Remarks and Subsequent Apology

In a recent interview, Taye Currency referred to Pasuma as his "boss" and labeled Saheed Osupa merely as a "colleague." This characterization did not sit well with Osupa's supporters and led to significant backlash. In an attempt to mend fences, Taye Currency later met with Pasuma during the ongoing Umrah 2025 in Mecca, where he expressed regret for any offense caused by his earlier statements. He clarified that his words were misinterpreted and reaffirmed his respect for both Pasuma and Osupa.

Portable's Dispute and Public Apology

Controversial hip-hop artist Portable also found himself at odds with Saheed Osupa. Portable had incorporated a line from one of Osupa's songs into his own track, leading to its removal from streaming platforms due to copyright infringement claims by Osupa and his distributors. In response, Portable publicly insulted the Fuji veteran, accusing him of being unsupportive. However, following considerable public criticism, Portable issued a public apology, pleading for forgiveness and expressing a desire to be mentored by Osupa.

Saheed Osupa's Reactions

Saheed Osupa addressed these incidents during a recent event. He performed a song that appeared to be a subtle retort to the controversies, indicating his awareness and stance on the matters. Additionally, in a video call with Pasuma, Osupa humorously referred to him as "my colleague's boss," a playful nod to Taye Currency's earlier comments.

These events underscore the dynamic and sometimes contentious relationships within the Fuji music industry, highlighting the importance of mutual respect and understanding among artists.
