Billy Joel Cancels 2025 Tour Following Diagnosis of Brain Disorder

Legendary musician Billy Joel has announced the cancellation of all his scheduled concerts for 2025 after being diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), a neurological condition affecting balance, vision, and cognitive functions.

The 76-year-old singer-songwriter revealed that symptoms of NPH, including difficulties with hearing and balance, have been exacerbated by recent performances. Following medical advice, Joel is undergoing physical therapy and will take an indefinite hiatus from touring to focus on his recovery.

The canceled tour included 17 shows across North America and the UK, with planned performances alongside artists such as Sting, Rod Stewart, and Stevie Nicks. Fans who purchased tickets will receive automatic refunds.

Despite this health setback, Joel remains optimistic about returning to the stage in the future. He expressed gratitude for the support from fans and the medical care he is receiving.

In the meantime, the premiere of his two-part documentary, *Billy Joel: And So It Goes*, is set to debut at the Tribeca Film Festival in June. The film features rare performance footage, archival photos, home movies, and exclusive interviews, offering fans an intimate look into Joel's life and career.
