Victor Osimhen Nears Record-Breaking Transfer to Al Hilal, Leaving Chelsea and Manchester United Behind

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly on the verge of a groundbreaking move to Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal, sidelining Premier League contenders Chelsea and Manchester United. The 26-year-old, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has had an impressive season, netting 36 goals in 40 appearances and leading the Turkish club to a league and cup double.

Al Hilal's offer is said to include a three-year contract with a staggering salary of approximately €35 million per year, potentially making Osimhen the highest-paid African footballer in history. This lucrative deal surpasses previous offers from European clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United, who were unable to meet Napoli's valuation and Osimhen's wage demands.

Napoli had previously set a release clause of €130 million for Osimhen, deterring several European suitors. Despite interest from Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, Al Hilal's financial package appears to have swayed both the player and his parent club.

Osimhen's potential move to Al Hilal reflects the growing allure of the Saudi Pro League, which has been attracting top talent with substantial financial incentives. Should the deal be finalized, it would mark a significant shift in Osimhen's career trajectory, moving from European competitions to the Middle Eastern football scene.

As negotiations progress, fans and analysts alike await official confirmation of the transfer, which could set a new precedent for African players in global football.
