NUPRC Achieves Record ₦12.2 Trillion Revenue in 2024, Signaling Robust Growth Under Tinubu Administration

In a significant milestone for Nigeria's oil and gas industry, the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) reported an unprecedented revenue of ₦12.2 trillion in 2024, marking a 176.7% increase from ₦4.3 trillion in 2023.

Under the leadership of Commission Chief Executive Engr. Gbenga Komolafe, the NUPRC's strategic reforms have revitalized the upstream sector. Key initiatives include the "Project One Million Barrels Per Day," aiming to boost daily crude production to over 2.7 million barrels, and the "Drill or Drop" mandate, which enforces timely development of oil fields.

These reforms have attracted over $16 billion in investment commitments within two years, reflecting renewed global confidence in Nigeria's oil and gas sector.

The NUPRC's achievements have garnered commendation from the Joint Senate and House Committee on Finance, highlighting its significant contribution to national revenue and efficient regulatory oversight.

As Nigeria continues to implement strategic reforms and attract substantial investments, the NUPRC's performance under the Tinubu administration underscores a commitment to economic growth and energy sector revitalization.
