In a bold demonstration of leadership and strategic grassroots engagement, Hon. Oluwafemi Abolade Gabriel (popularly known as *Yerima*), House Leader of Ona Ara Local Government, hosted all 11 House Leaders from the Ibadan zone for a historic legislative roundtable aimed at deepening community development and governance impact across Oyo State.
The landmark meeting, part of a rotational monthly leadership session among Ibadan LGAs, took place for the first time at Ona Ara LGA under Yerima’s warm hospitality. With growing influence across the state, Yerima is fast becoming a central figure in local legislative coordination and grassroots mobilization—a strong indication of his increasing momentum ahead of the 2027 political cycle.
The gathering served as a platform for LG House Leaders to review their legislative roles, assess performance, and exchange ideas on replicable developmental strategies across their constituencies. They deliberated on strengthening support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s progressive legacy, ensuring that local lawmakers remain catalysts for community-driven policies and effective oversight of council projects.
In a joint resolution, the leaders praised Yerima’s leadership drive, describing him as a unifier, bridge-builder, and development-focused mobilizer. They also emphasized the need for House Leaders to be active voices in their councils, working hand-in-hand with Executive Chairmen to fast-track local initiatives.
Yerima’s hosting of the Ibadan LG caucus not only reinforces his growing political relevance but sets the tone for a forward-looking legislative alliance that prioritizes the people at the grassroots.
As the 2027 political horizon approaches, Hon. Yerima’s influence continues to rise—anchored on performance, strategic collaboration, and people-centered leadership.
