The honour, widely regarded as one of the most prestigious recognitions for indigenes of Ibadan, was bestowed during a well-attended ceremony that drew an array of distinguished personalities, traditional leaders, political stakeholders, and respected members of the Ibadan community. The event underscored CCII’s enduring commitment to celebrating individuals whose contributions have significantly advanced the cultural, economic, and social development of Ibadanland.

He was honoured alongside other eminent personalities, including His Royal Majesty Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja and Ambassador Florence Ajimobi, both of whom were equally celebrated for their remarkable contributions to the progress and development of Ibadanland and the state.

In a demonstration of humility and loyalty to leadership, Otunba Opatoki dedicated the award to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, acknowledging the administration’s role in fostering an enabling environment for growth and sustainable development.
