As the world celebrates the remarkable contributions of women and mothers, Hon. Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo (popularly known as OJO), aspirant for the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, has extended warm greetings and heartfelt appreciation to women across the constituency and Nigeria at large.
In a message marking the special occasion, Hon. Ogunbayo emphasized that the sacrifices, love, and dedication of mothers and women remain the foundation upon which strong families, communities, and nations are built.
“Today, I honour and celebrate every mother across Nigeria. Your love, care, and sacrifices do not go unnoticed,” he said.
According to him, while many of the sacrifices made by mothers are visible, it is often the quiet and everyday acts of care that truly define the depth of a mother’s love.
“Beyond the big sacrifices, it is the small, quiet moments that truly define a mother’s love. On this special day, we carry those moments in our hearts and say thank you for the warmth and love you selflessly give,” he added.
Highlighting the importance of women in shaping society, Hon. Ogunbayo described women as powerful agents of transformation whose strength and resilience continue to drive progress in families and communities.
“Women are power, women are change,” he declared.
On this important day of reflection and celebration, he acknowledged the incredible women across Ibadan North-West, Ibadan South-West, and beyond for their resilience, leadership, and tireless contributions to society.
“Your strength, wisdom, and dedication remain the backbone of our families, communities, and our constituency,” he noted.
As a passionate advocate for inclusive representation, Hon. Ogunbayo reaffirmed his commitment to promoting policies and initiatives that empower women and girls to take their rightful place in leadership and decision-making.
“As your aspirant for the House of Representatives, I pledge to elevate women’s voices, promote political participation, and champion gender-inclusive policies that will empower women and girls to lead and shape our collective future,” he stated.
He also called on women across the constituency to join hands with him in building a movement for meaningful progress and inclusive development.
“I call on all women to stand with me and be part of this movement for progress. Together, let us build a constituency where women are not only seen but heard and valued in every decision-making space.”
Hon. Ogunbayo further stressed the need to create opportunities that support women-led initiatives while strengthening economic and social empowerment across the constituency.
“Together, we can create opportunities, support women-led initiatives, and uplift women economically, socially, and politically. Your support is pivotal in driving meaningful change across Ibadan North-West, Ibadan South-West, and beyond.”
