Hon. Oluwafemi Abolade Gabriel (Yerima) Clinches APM Ward 9 Councillorship Ticket After Decisive Party Exco Vote
The race for the APM councillorship ticket in Ward 9, Ona Ara Local Government Area of Oyo State, has officially been concluded, with Hon. Oluwafemi Abolade Gabriel (Yerima) emerging victorious following a decisive vote by the ward's executive members.
The outcome brings to an end weeks of consultations and internal party engagements, confirming Yerima as the party's flagbearer for the forthcoming local government election.
According to party sources, the ward executives, acting in line with the party's resolution, were assigned the responsibility of determining the party's candidate through a voting process. At the end of the exercise, 10 executive members voted in favour of Hon. Oluwafemi Abolade Gabriel (Yerima), while the remaining votes were shared among the other aspirants.
The result effectively settled the contest and affirmed Yerima's emergence as the APM candidate for the Ward 9 councillorship seat.
Reacting to the outcome, Hon. Yerima expressed profound gratitude to the party leadership, ward executives, elders, stakeholders, and supporters for their confidence in his leadership and political experience.
He described the victory as a collective achievement for the entire Ward 9 APM family rather than a personal triumph.
