Ajiboye Akande, the leader of Boye Nation, a political movement widely associated with former Minister of Power and Oyo State governorship hopeful, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has officially defected to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), a development that is already generating intense political discussions across Oyo State.
Although Akande's decision marks a significant political shift for one of Adelabu's closest political allies, there has been no official confirmation that Chief Adebayo Adelabu himself has left the All Progressives Congress (APC). In recent weeks, Adelabu has repeatedly denied reports linking him with a planned defection from the APC, insisting that he remains committed to the party despite widespread speculation surrounding his political future.
