Hon. Lanre Jinadu Welcomes First Lady Oluremi Tinubu to Oyo, Hails Tinubu Torch Bearers Initiative

Renewed Hope Ambassador Says First Lady’s Visit Will Strengthen Grassroots Mobilisation, Women’s Participation and Support for President Tinubu’s Agenda

Hon. Lanre Jinadu, the Renewed Hope Ambassador from Ibadan North Local Government, has warmly welcomed the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Distinguished Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, to Oyo State, describing her visit as a significant moment for grassroots mobilisation, inclusive political participation and the advancement of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Jinadu, in a goodwill message, expressed his excitement over the First Lady’s arrival in Ibadan for the inauguration of the Oyo State Chapter of the Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB), describing the initiative as an important platform for strengthening political engagement and connecting the Renewed Hope message more effectively with communities at the grassroots.

According to him, the inauguration of the Tinubu Torch Bearers presents an opportunity to further mobilise citizens, deepen stakeholder engagement and encourage greater participation in the political process ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Renewed Hope Ambassador from Ibadan North Local Government noted that sustainable political mobilisation must be built around continuous engagement, communication and a clear understanding of the aspirations of the people.

He stated that initiatives such as the Tinubu Torch Bearers can provide an organised platform through which supporters, community leaders, women, youths and other stakeholders can promote the policies, programmes and achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration while also engaging directly with the concerns of the people.

Jinadu particularly commended the emphasis on women’s participation, noting that Nigerian women remain indispensable partners in nation-building, grassroots development and democratic consolidation.

He stressed that increasing the participation of women in political mobilisation and community leadership would contribute significantly to building stronger families, communities and institutions.

“On behalf of myself, my associates and the good people of Ibadan North Local Government, I warmly welcome our mother and First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Distinguished Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, to the historic city of Ibadan and Oyo State.

“Your Excellency, your presence in Oyo State is a demonstration of your commitment to grassroots engagement, women’s empowerment and inclusive participation in our national development journey.

“We are delighted to receive you and remain confident that your engagement with our people will further inspire our women, youths and grassroots stakeholders to actively participate in building the Nigeria we all desire.”

Jinadu further described the Tinubu Torch Bearers as a platform capable of strengthening political awareness and grassroots organisation, particularly as Nigeria approaches the 2027 electoral cycle.

He maintained that political participation should not be restricted to election periods, stressing the importance of sustained engagement between political leadership and the electorate.

He also called on members and supporters of the Renewed Hope movement in Ibadan North and across Oyo State to remain committed to peaceful, issue-based and constructive political engagement.

According to him, the success of any political agenda ultimately depends on its ability to connect with ordinary citizens and communicate effectively with communities at the grassroots.

Jinadu expressed optimism that the First Lady’s visit would further strengthen cooperation among political stakeholders, community leaders, women’s groups, youth organisations and supporters of the Renewed Hope Agenda across Oyo State.

He reaffirmed his commitment, in his capacity as Renewed Hope Ambassador from Ibadan North Local Government, to supporting grassroots mobilisation, promoting constructive political participation and advancing programmes and initiatives that contribute to the development and wellbeing of the people.

“Once again, I warmly welcome Your Excellency to Oyo State. Ibadan North is proud to receive you.

“May your visit be fruitful, impactful and successful, and may the Tinubu Torch Bearers continue to serve as a strong vehicle for grassroots engagement, unity and mobilisation as we work collectively towards a more prosperous Nigeria under the Renewed Hope Agenda,” Jinadu added.
