INDEPENDENCE DAY: Tosin Alabi Salutes Nigerians at 66, Calls for Unity, Hope and Renewed Patriotism

Ona Egbeda/Ara Allied Peoples Movement (APM) Stalwart Celebrates Nigeria, Highlights Youth Potential and National Development

As Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, prominent Allied Peoples Movement (APM) stalwart in Ona Egbeda/Ara Local Government, Hon. Tosin Alabi, has extended warm greetings and goodwill to Nigerians at home and abroad, calling for renewed patriotism, unity and collective commitment to building a better nation.

In his Independence Day message, Hon. Tosin Alabi described the anniversary as an important occasion for Nigerians to reflect on the country's journey since independence, celebrate its achievements and renew their determination to contribute to a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.

According to him, Nigeria's greatest asset remains its people, particularly the younger generation whose creativity, talents, resilience and innovative ideas can contribute significantly to national development when given the right opportunities and support.

Alabi emphasized the need for greater investment in human capital, skills development, entrepreneurship and initiatives capable of empowering young Nigerians to become productive contributors to their communities and the wider economy.

«“Independence is more than a celebration of our history. It is a reminder of our collective responsibility to build the Nigeria we want to leave for future generations. We must continue to promote peace, unity, hard work, innovation and responsible citizenship.”»

The APM stalwart further encouraged Nigerian youths to remain hopeful and resilient despite the challenges confronting the country, urging them to embrace legitimate opportunities, develop their talents and participate actively in community and national development.

He noted that the responsibility for building a better Nigeria should not rest solely on government, stressing that individuals, community leaders, political stakeholders, private organizations and young people all have important roles to play.

Hon. Alabi also called for greater understanding and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians, noting that the country's diversity should remain a source of strength rather than division.

“As we celebrate 66 years of nationhood, we must remember that the future of Nigeria is a shared responsibility. The decisions we make today, the values we promote and the opportunities we create will determine the kind of country we hand over to the next generation,” he stated.

He specifically extended his warm Independence Day greetings to the people of Ona Egbeda/Ara Local Government, appreciating residents for their resilience, contributions to community development and continued commitment to peaceful coexistence.

Hon. Tosin Alabi expressed optimism that Nigeria, despite its challenges, possesses enormous human and natural resources capable of driving sustainable development when effectively harnessed.

He urged Nigerians to use the occasion of the Independence anniversary to renew their hope in the country, promote unity and remain committed to the ideals of peace, justice, opportunity and shared prosperity.

As the nation celebrates another milestone in its history, Hon. Tosin Alabi joins Nigerians across the country and in the diaspora in celebrating the Nigerian spirit of resilience and hope.

Happy 66th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria! 🇳🇬
