US Deploys More Than 10 Military Cargo Aircraft to Israel as Fears of Renewed War With Iran Intensify

The United States is reportedly stepping up its military presence across the Middle East, deploying additional military transport aircraft and air defence equipment to the region amid growing concerns over a possible resumption of hostilities with Iran.

According to reports published on Friday, October 30, 2026, at least 10 American military transport aircraft have arrived at Israeli airbases in the country's southern Negev region, as Washington and Tel Aviv strengthen their military preparations amid heightened regional tensions.

The aircraft reportedly landed at Ovda and Nevatim airbases, with additional American military cargo flights also recorded at facilities in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Kuwait was also mentioned in reports tracking recent movements of US military aircraft across the region.

Israeli public broadcaster KAN initially reported the deployments, with subsequent reports from Anadolu Agency and other international media outlets providing further details.

The aircraft movements are believed to be connected to efforts to reinforce air defence capabilities across the Middle East, particularly in anticipation of possible Iranian missile and drone attacks should military confrontation resume.

According to reports, some of the aircraft may be transporting additional Patriot air defence equipment and interceptor missiles. However, the precise cargo carried by the aircraft has not been independently confirmed.

The reported flights are particularly significant because several aircraft reportedly departed from Fort Bliss in Texas, which hosts major US Army air defence installations and equipment.

The development follows an earlier report by The Wall Street Journal that the Pentagon was transferring a Patriot missile defence battery from Texas to strengthen air defence capabilities in the region.

The Patriot system is designed to intercept incoming ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and aircraft, making it an important component of the United States' regional defence network.

Meanwhile, an Israeli official reportedly told KAN that the United States and Israel were maintaining close military coordination as preparations continued for possible developments involving Iran.

The official indicated that although no final decision had been made on military action, both countries were preparing for whatever decision President Donald Trump might eventually take.

The military movements also come amid reports that Washington has been considering a possible limited military campaign against Iran. According to Israeli media reports, Gulf countries had previously been warned about the possibility of a short and focused military operation.

Adding to the concerns, US Central Command chief Admiral Brad Cooper reportedly briefed President Trump at the White House on Thursday about military options concerning Iran. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine were also reportedly present.

The briefing has further intensified speculation about Washington's next steps, although it does not establish that an attack has been authorised.

The growing military activity comes against the background of an already volatile relationship between Washington and Tehran, particularly over regional security, maritime navigation and the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

The waterway remains critically important to international energy supplies, and any renewed military confrontation could have significant consequences for global oil markets, shipping operations and regional stability.

Despite the growing military preparations, the United States has not publicly confirmed the reported aircraft deployments or disclosed the full details of their cargo. It also remains unclear whether the movements are purely defensive or part of broader operational preparations.

For now, the reported deployment of additional American military aircraft across Israel and several Gulf countries underscores the heightened security concerns confronting the Middle East as diplomatic efforts and military preparations continue simultaneously.
