In an extraordinary tale of endurance, 61-year-old Peruvian fisherman Máximo Napa Castro survived 95 harrowing days adrift in the Pacific Ocean. His ordeal began on December 7, 2024, when he departed from Marcona, Peru, for a routine two-week fishing expedition. However, a severe storm ten days into the trip blew his vessel off course, leaving him stranded with limited supplies.
Faced with the vast expanse of the ocean and dwindling resources, Castro exhibited remarkable resilience.
