Advancing Education and Youth Empowerment
In alignment with Governor Seyi Makinde's Omituntun 2.0 Agenda, Hon. Akinleye has prioritized education, commissioning a new block of three classrooms at Sagbe Community Primary School to provide a conducive learning environment for students . Further demonstrating his commitment, he appointed Chief (Dr) Moshood Ismail Abioye as the Education Ambassador and launched a tuition-free scholarship program benefiting 500 secondary school graduates aspiring to pursue tertiary education.
Infrastructure Development Across Wards
Recognizing the importance of accessible infrastructure, Hon. Akinleye initiated the rehabilitation and grading of earth roads across all 12 wards, enhancing connectivity and economic activities within the local government. He also oversaw the renovation of the previously dilapidated legislative building, ensuring a functional space for effective governance.
Enhancing Community Health and Sanitation
Addressing essential health needs, the chairman commissioned a motorized borehole and modern toilet facilities in Akiije Village, improving access to clean water and sanitation for residents.
Strengthening Security Measures
Understanding the significance of safety, Hon. Akinleye provided motorcycles, raincoats, and whistles to security agencies, bolstering their capacity to maintain law and order across the local government area.
Economic Empowerment Initiatives
In a bid to stimulate local commerce, the nearly completed Akinyele Farmers’ Market is set to offer 280 open stalls, 200 lock-up shops, a clinic, and other facilities, aligning with the state's vision to boost agribusiness and economic growth.
