The Oyo State Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES), backed by a $500 million World Bank facility, is inviting livestock farmers to register for its transformative program aimed at enhancing productivity, resilience, and commercialization across key value chains, including cattle, poultry, sheep, goats, and pigs.
L-PRES is a six-year initiative (2022–2028) designed to modernize Nigeria’s livestock sector through digital tools, improved animal health services, and market-driven strategies. In Oyo State, the project is coordinated by the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA) and has already trained over 150 extension agents in digital advisory services to support farmers in all 33 LGAs.
Farmers who enroll will benefit from:
- Access to the Livestock Market Information System (LMIS) for real-time pricing and market trends.
- Vaccination and disease surveillance support, in collaboration with ILRI.
- Training in animal husbandry, feeding, and value chain development.
- Linkages to markets and financial services.
To register, visit the official Oyo L-PRES portal or contact your local agricultural extension office. This is a unique opportunity to scale your livestock business with expert support and global best practices.
Join the movement to transform livestock farming in Oyo State—register today and unlock new opportunities for growth and resilience.
