The visit underscored a shared commitment between the Local Government and the Nigerian Air Force to strengthen the security architecture of Akinyele and its environs, particularly in light of the rapid growth and expanding economic activities within the council area.

Speaking during the meeting, Air Cdre D.U. Njoku commended the Executive Chairman for the visible developmental strides recorded across the Local Government. In his response, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye expressed profound appreciation to his principal, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. He attributed the numerous landmark achievements recorded in Akinyele to the massive investments and strategic interventions of the Governor, describing the Local Government as one of the fastest growing in the state and beyond. According to him, the ongoing developmental projects and infrastructural expansion within the council area are already attracting increased economic activities and population influx, thereby necessitating enhanced security measures.

The Executive Chairman further enumerated several security support mechanisms already put in place by the Local Government, including inter-agency collaboration, community-based security initiatives, and logistics assistance to security operatives. He assured the Commander and his team of the council’s unwavering readiness to deepen collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force and other security agencies to sustain peace, stability, and investor confidence within Akinyele Local Government.

In a remarkable display of goodwill and institutional recognition, Air Cdre D.U. Njoku presented an award to the Executive Chairman in acknowledgment of his outstanding developmental strides, particularly in strengthening the security sector.
