D’Banj Surprises Pelumi Olajengbesi With Three Branded Sienna Buses in Show of Support

Afrobeats star and entrepreneur Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’Banj, the Koko Master, has reportedly surprised lawyer and politician Pelumi Olajengbesi with three fully branded Sienna buses, describing the gesture as his personal “token of support.”

Olajengbesi disclosed the development in a post shared on his Facebook page, explaining that the surprise followed a conversation he had with D’Banj about two weeks earlier.

According to Olajengbesi, D’Banj had contacted him and asked for the details of the person responsible for branding his campaign vehicles. He said the musician explained that he wanted to brand a vehicle for his CREAM project, an initiative associated with supporting and creating opportunities for young creatives.

Olajengbesi said he simply provided the requested contact information and did not expect anything beyond the request.

However, he said he was surprised when three fully branded Sienna space buses were delivered to him in Osogbo.

“About two weeks ago, my great brother, the Koko Master himself D’Banj, called me and asked me to help him get the contact of the person who does my campaign branding, that he needed to brand a vehicle for his CREAM project designed for young creatives. So, I simply shared the contact with him,” Olajengbesi wrote.

“However, yesterday, I received a surprise, three fully branded Sienna space buses from D’Banj in Osogbo.”

He added that he immediately called the music star to confirm the gesture, only to receive a simple response: “It’s my token of support.”

Expressing his appreciation, Olajengbesi described the gesture as a significant demonstration of friendship and confidence in his political journey.

“Wow! Oluwami! Bangalee, I do not take this for granted. This is love. This is huge support. Thank you for standing with me and for believing in this journey,” he stated.

Olajengbesi also acknowledged the growing support he said he had received from people across different walks of life, noting that while some supporters have made their contributions publicly, others have chosen to do so quietly.

“In recent weeks, I have received tremendous support from people from different walks of life, some publicly, many quietly. Every single act of support reinforces something in my heart, this is a responsibility,” he added.

The development comes as Olajengbesi continues his political campaign for the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election. In May 2026, he secured the Accord Party ticket for the constituency.

His political activities have attracted considerable attention in Osun State. He previously served as spokesperson for the Imole Campaign Council during Governor Ademola Adeleke’s 2026 re-election campaign and is also the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network.

The latest gesture from D’Banj has subsequently generated reactions among Olajengbesi’s supporters, with several commenters interpreting the donation as a major boost to the campaign.

One supporter prayed for blessings upon D’Banj, while another described the gesture as a significant signal to voters in the constituency.

Another commenter wrote that Olajengbesi deserved the support and expressed confidence in his political aspiration, while others celebrated the development under the slogan “Itura to the World.”

Some supporters also praised Olajengbesi's previous political activities and grassroots mobilisation, while others urged him to visit communities across Oriade and Obokun.

The development adds another layer to what has become an increasingly visible political campaign around the federal constituency. Recent reports have documented endorsements and public expressions of support for Olajengbesi, including backing from traditional rulers in Ijesa North and Yoruba Nation campaigner Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho.

For Olajengbesi, however, the message behind the three buses appears to go beyond transportation. As he put it, the gesture represents **“love,” “huge support” and a reminder that the political journey comes with responsibility.**
