"If You Know the Sponsors, Report Them" — Falana Challenges Politicians Over Oriire Kidnap Allegations
Human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Femi Falana, has called on President Bola Tinubu to caution political figures against making inflammatory statements capable of worsening tensions surrounding the recent kidnapping incident in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Falana's intervention follows a wave of political accusations and counter-accusations that emerged after the abduction, with some prominent voices suggesting that the incident may have been politically motivated. Among the most controversial claims was the allegation that the Oyo State Government orchestrated the kidnapping in an attempt to embarrass or blackmail President Tinubu.
